Who do you typically help?
Clients may be:
in the midst of a life change such as a loss of a relationship, job, or loved one
struggling to find and establish a satisfying intimate relationship
wanting more mindfulness and presence — bringing more balance, depth, authenticity, and integrity to their work and relationships
seeking to address issues that have led to feelings of frustration, anxiety, depression, malaise, or imbalance
Many people are moving so fast in their day-to-day lives that they are not aware of the high levels of stress they carry both physically and emotionally, and how that stress impacts their overall well-being.
Therapy may be the one reliable time that people allow themselves to slow down and to focus on themselves with conscious intent, care, and compassion.
I help my clients gain new insights, identify and eliminate personal roadblocks, so they may experience more fulfilling relationships, improved physical health, and an increased sense of joy, happiness, freedom, purpose, power, presence, intimacy, and confidence.
What is somatic psychotherapy?
Alongside talk therapy, somatic therapists utilize mind-body exercises to set free any bottled-up tensions that have a negative impact on an individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing. For example, physical techniques may include deep breathing, relaxation exercises, and meditation. In developing this mind-body awareness, somatic therapy supports the release of anxiety, trauma, anger, frustration, and other emotions that may have remained in the body from former negative events and experiences.
How long are sessions and how often do I come in? Appointments are 50 minutes. I require weekly sessions at the beginning of treatment. From there, depending on needs, we can either increase or decrease frequency of sessions.
Do you do Video and phone sessions?
Due to COVID-19 all sessions will be conducted by phone or video until further notice.
